How to remove carpet stains

What’s worse than your brand new carpet – or an old one, for that matter – getting stained? Whether it was yours, your child, your pet or even a guest’s fault, there is always that moment of panic when you find the stain, fearing it’s going to soak in and never come out.

Carpet is truly a great flooring in so many ways – it’s practical, functional, warm, cosy, sound proof – but its major flaw is removing stains. It often takes much more than a quick wipe to clean it out and even then, there’s no guarantee the mark will disappear forever.

At Branagan Flooring Services we offer various professional cleaning products to help clean and remove carpets stains. We also care a lot about the environment and in that spirit we’ve found a great eco-friendly and natural way to remove carpet stains. All you need is some baking soda and white vinegar.

Pour the vinegar directly on the carpet to cover the stain, then sprinkle it with baking soda and wait a few moments for it to work its magic. You should actually be able to see the stain being soaked up by the baking soda. Allow the area to dry, vacuum and voila! Your carpet is as good as new. You can also use this trick on linoleum.

Please note this method might not work on every type of stain. To avoid frustration, make sure you always have some proper stain-removal product in store, such as Stikatak Carpet Stain Remover Wipes.
