Vinyl safety flooring fitted at Burnley Hospital

Sector: Healthcare

We were recently appointed to replace the vinyl safety flooring on Ward 18 at Burnley Hospital.

We’re a dab hand at fitting floor coverings into healthcare premises having completed many similar projects at other hospitals, clinics and NHS buildings over the years.

For this installation we chose a vinyl safety flooring by Polyflor, Polysafe Corona. The product spec tells us it is ideally suited for heavy traffic areas where there are risks of water spillage and other contaminants in commercial and residential areas such as washrooms, WCs, classrooms and food preparation areas. Typical installations are within education, healthcare, social housing, leisure & commercial office sectors.

Polysafe Corona is an extremely slip resistant and highly durable product; both essential qualities for flooring in a healthcare environment. The high specification flooring is also built to withstand heavy footfall over a long period of time and is assured for at least 10 years in recommended use areas. Further asserting its suitability for a medical setting, Polysafe Corona features the ground-breaking Polysafe PUR reinforcement for optimum appearance retention and superior cleaning benefits.

The design of the range cleverly combines a subtle base colour with a complimenting speckle design on top. This is further emphasised with minor physical chips across the surface of the vinyl to create an attractive texture but also adds to the anti-slip nature of the flooring.
