We are highly experienced healthcare flooring contractors, having fitted various floor coverings into many different healthcare settings.
We’ve worked with numerous North West based health authorities, undertook various projects at St Mary’s Hospital and the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) and worked on the Macmillan Centre at Trafford General Hospital. All these contracts were appointed to us through Bradbury Building Services.
Considerations of healthcare flooring contracts
There are many factors to consider when selecting appropriate flooring for a healthcare installation including coverings that are easy to clean, non-slip and serviceable. In a busy doctors or dental surgery, or reception areas and corridors in a hospital, the flooring will have to be extremely durable and easy to clean. On a hospital ward, anti slip properties will be needed in the flooring material to withstand the high risk of liquid spillages. In an operating theatre or sterile environment, the focus will be on hygiene and cleanliness.
Above all else, infection control is our main concern when selecting appropriate materials for a healthcare setting. Leading flooring manufacturers have invested huge amounts into the development of flooring agents and technology that inhibit the spread of C-Diff, MRSA and the Norovirus.
On top of all this, value for money is also a prerequisite of any publicly funded healthcare contract, flooring or otherwise.
